Diclofenac is the active ingredient in Voltarol Max Strength Pain Relief 2.32% Gel. Diclofenac penetrates deep into the joint and provides pain relief for up to 12 hours, without a pill. Voltarol Max Strength Pain Relief 2.32% Gel reduces pain in joints with a higher diclofenac concentration than Voltarol Back & Muscle Pain Relief 1.16% Gel. Voltarol Max Strength Pain Relief 2.32% Gel is available in a variety of pack sizes so you can carry it with you or keep it at home in the cupboard.

Voltarol Max Strength Pain Relief 2.32% Gel works by delivering diclofenac, a potent non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) right to the point of pain. Voltarol gel has a triple effect; relieving pain, reducing inflammation, and helping to speed healing.

The active ingredient in Voltarol gel, diclofenac, is also retained at the point of pain. With an added permeation enhancer included in our special Voltarol Max Strength Pain Relief 2.32% Gel formulation, more... active ingredient is able to penetrate deep into the skin. It forms reservoirs in the tissue underneath, which means a sustained source of pain relief targeting the point of pain, where you need it most, unlike pills that go through the stomach. Voltarol Max Strength Pain Relief 2.32% Gel pain relief is clinically proven and targeted making it an effective alternative to pills.

Voltarol Max Strength Pain Relief 2.32% Gel is used for:

Soft-tissue injuries: trauma of the tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints, e.g. due to sprains, strains, bruises and backache (sports injuries).
Localised forms of soft tissue rheumatism: tendonitis (e.g. tennis elbow), bursitis, shoulder-hand syndrome and periarthropathy.

How to use Voltarol Max Strength Pain Relief 2.32% Gel

Using Voltarol Max Strength Pain Relief 2.32% Gel couldn’t be simpler:

Open your tube of Voltarol Max Strength Pain Relief 2.32% Gel:
- To remove the seal before first use, use the reverse side of the cap to insert, twist and remove the seal from the tube.
- For our 100g tube, which has a flip top cap, use a finger, thumb, side of your hand or even edge of a table against the underside of the cap lid to open the flip-top cap. Easy peasy!
Squeeze out a small amount ranging in size from 1 penny to a 2 pence coin, depending on the size of the affected area.
Gently rub into the skin above where you are experiencing body pain.
Apply Voltarol Max Strength Pain Relief 2.32% Gel twice daily, morning and evening.

Use up to 14 days for soft tissue injuries, like sprains or strains, unless indicated otherwise by your doctor. As soon as your pain subsides, stop using Voltarol Max Strength Pain Relief 2.32% Gel. If your pain or swelling does not improve within 7 days, or if it gets worse, please consult your doctor.

Do not apply to skin with conditions such as cuts, open wounds, or on skin that has a rash or eczema. Discontinue the treatment if a skin rash develops after applying the product.

Voltarol gels should not be used with air-tight or water-tight (occlusive) dressings, however, non-sealed breathable bandages can be used. For further details regarding precautions of using Voltarol Max Strength Pain Relief 2.32% Gel or other products, please consult pharmacist.

Voltarol Max Strength Pain Relief 2.32% Gel contains 23.2mg/g of the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID), diclofenac diethylammonium; this concentration means you can apply only twice per day (morning and evening) for all-day pain relief. Our Voltarol Max Strength Pain Relief 2.32% Gel ingredients are what make it so effective. It contains a permeation enhancer which allows up to 3x more diclofenac to get through the skin.
